Ruffian – Queen of the race track

Ruffian is a dark bay filly she was the best female racehorse of all time she was born April 17,1972 in Paris, Kentucky and died July 7,1975. in Elmont New York . She won 10 consecutive races and because of these races that she won ,Ruffian was named the American champion filly. Her height was 6.1hh. In 1975 she raced in a match race against Foolish Pleasure who had one the Kentucky Derby. Sadly during the race ruffian brook her leg and was brought to the vet immediately. She had kicked of her cast and sadly they had to euthanize her because of this incident. Ruffian was buried at the finish line at Belmont Park. Her sire was Reviewer, her dam was shenanigans,her dam sire was native dancer and her grand sire is bold ruler who was also sire to the worlds greatest race horse of all time Secretariat which means they are related.
